A really strange Summer...

Un'Estate davvero strana...

Ciao ragazze, come state?
Dopo quello "del rientro" eccoci al primo vero e proprio post di questa nuova stagione... e, come ogni primo post che si rispetti, anche se siamo già ad ottobre... e non più a settembre... parliamo di vacanze!!!
Voi come le avete passate???
Noi per svariati motivi, tra cui, principalmente, l'aver appena portato a casa le due piccole pesti... abbiamo deciso di rimanere a casa!!!!
Quando abbiamo preso questa decisione ero sinceramente convinta che non mi sarebbe pesato... mi immaginavo giornate lente e molli trascorse sull' "elefante" in giardino a prendere il sole... pranzi e cene a lume di candela nel gazebo con amici e familiari... gite al lago e in montagna con le piccole...

Hi girls, how are you?
After the “coming back” one, here we are for the very first post of this new season.... and, as every first post to be respected, even though we are already in October......and no longer in September.....let's talk about holidays!!!
How did you spend them???
We, for many different reasons, among which, mainly, the fact of having taken home the two little pe(s)ts......, have decided to stay home!!!
When we took this decision I was sincerely convinced that it would have not been a burden.... I was imagining slow and quiet days spent  sunbathing on the nig hammock in the garden...... luncheons and dinners with friends and relatives...... excursions to the lake or to the mountains with the pe(s)ts...

E invece (quasi) niente di tutto ciò!!!
Ci siamo ritrovati intrappolati in un'estate fredda e piovosa che ci ha costretti quasi sempre chiusi in casa... con le piccole, appena uscite entrambe da una tracheite, in casa con noi (vi lascio immaginare...)... il gazebo perennemente mezzo smontato (perchè altrimenti la pioggia spezza i sottilissimi montanti... e quando c'è vento lo ritroviamo nei giardini dei vicini)... e mio marito completamente preso dalla saga di Game of Thrones e quindi praticamente inesistente per un sacco di tempo  con notevole disappunto mio e delle piccole (ma anche i vostri mariti quando leggono sono così???)...

And, on the contrary, nothing of the kind!!!
We found ourselves trapped in a cold and rainy summer which forced us almost always to stay in the house..... with the pe(s)ts, who were just getting out of a tracheitis, in the house with us (I'll let you imagine...)... the gazebo constantly half dismantled (because otherwise the rain will break the very thin  vertical rods........and when the wind comes we have to look for it in the neighbour's garden)..... and my hubby completely absorbed in the saga of “Gane of Thrones” and therefory practically inexistent for a long time (but your husbands too are like that when they read???)....

 

Immaginavo vestiti leggeri e svolazzanti, gambe scoperte e smalti colorati.... e invece è stata un'estate perlopiù di pantaloni lunghi, golfini e scarpe chiuse!!!
Guardavo su Instagram le foto delle vostre vacanze e pensavo alla mia isola... che mi mancava terribilmente...
Ma non è stato tutto brutto!!!
Siamo riusciti a fare un pranzo in famiglia e una cena con amici.... qualche gita in campagna ed una in montagna... ci siamo riposati (soprattutto tre di noi ;-D)e sentiti una famiglia!!!

I was imagining light dresses fluttering, bare legs and coloured nail varnishes..... and it was instead a summer spent mainly wearing long trousers, cardigans and closed shoes!!!

I was watching on Instagram the pics of your holidays and kept thinking to my island... which I was missing terribly....
But not all was bad!!!
We managed to have a family lunch and a dinner with friends..... a few excursions in the country and one to the mountain..... we rested and felt to be a family!!!

 
Tra una pioggia e l'altra... siamo riusciti ad insegnare alle nostre piccoline a fare passeggiate sempre più lunghe e giri in macchina.... e abbiamo gioito ad ogni loro piccolo progresso!!!!
Il giardino, poi, in quei pochissimi giorni in cui ce lo siamo potuto godere...grazie a tutta questa acqua... ci ha allietati con fioriture a ripetizione mai avvenute prima!!!
Io dalla mia... mentre mio marito si rilassava leggendo... ho aprofittato del maltempo per riorganizzare completamente l'armadio, pensare a questo blog... e sistemare un sacco di cose che mi trascinavo da tempo!!!

Between a rain and a storm..... we managed to teach our little ones to take walks always a bit longer and drive around.... and we appreciated each little progress they made!!!

The garden, then, in those very few days we could enjoy it..... thank to all the water...... cheered us up with repeated blooming like never before!!!

From my side....while my Hubby was relaxing reading.... I took advantage of the bad weather to completely reorganize the wardrobe, to think about this blog.... and fix a lot of things which had been waiting for long!!! 

 
Insomma... sono state delle vacanze, a dir poco strane... ma è andata così!!!!
Ora siamo pronti per quest'autunno che, per adesso, fortunatamente promette proprio bene e per riprendere i soliti ritmi della vita normale... ma di questo vi parlerò prossimamente in un post dedicato all'Autunno!!!!Per adesso vi auguro un buonissimo week-end e vi do appuntamento a lunedi... quando finalmente vi presenterò come si deve quelle due piccole dolci, buffe e terribili invasate che da tre mesi a questa parte ci stanno riempiendo la vita... nel bene... e nel male!!!! :-D

All considered.... they have been holidays, a bit strange... to say the least..... but it went this way!!!

Now we are ready for the coming autumn which, for the time being, is luckily promising a good season, and to get back to the rythm of normal life... but about this I will write in a post completely dedicated to Autumn!!!For the time being I wish you a very good week-end and I give you a date for Monday... when finally I will introduce to you comme il faut those two little, sweet, funny and terrible possessed pe(s)ts which for the past three months have been filling our life …... in good..... and bad!!!!:-D
